As the world evolves, faster technologies, shorter cycles, constant notifications, time seems to be speeding up.
Is it just me, or did 2025 go by in the blink of an eye, and yet somehow January feels like it was decades ago?
And when that happens, most of us do one of two things:
- We try to keep up, pushing harder, staying plugged in, running on adrenaline.
- Or we disengage, fantasizing about retreating into nature, going offline, disappearing for a while.
If you’ve been craving escape lately, I get it.
I’ve been there too, not too long ago, while in Kosovo.
I kept feeling my body’s quiet rebellion against the rhythm of the modern world.
But here’s what I’ve come to see:
The answer isn’t in keeping up or checking out.
It’s in coming back to your own rhythm.
As Dr. Nicole LePera says,
“Your nervous system doesn’t care about your deadlines, it only listens to your rhythm.”
What does that mean?
Your rhythm is your natural tempo, the pace, flow, and pattern that supports your nervous system, creativity, and presence.
But in a world that moves this fast, you can’t hear it unless you pause to listen (and this seems to be VERY hard, for me at least :P).
Coming back to your rhythm starts with simple awareness:
- Tuning in, noticing when your system feels rushed, overwhelmed, or numbed out.
- Regulating your nervous system, through breath, grounding, or gentle movement.
- Creating space for silence, so you can hear what’s true beneath the noise.
Practices that help reset your rhythm:
- Time in nature, even a short walk without your phone.
- A digital detox day or weekend.
- A few hours in a dark chamber or silent retreat, where your senses can finally rest.
- Journaling about what feels alive and what feels forced.
- Truth telling journaling practise
- Microdosing, to reconnect your body and mind with presence and subtle awareness.
How microdosing can help
Microdosing supports the process of slowing down from the inside out.
It softens the grip of urgency, quiets the internal noise, and heightens interoception, your ability to sense your body’s needs and boundaries.
It’s not about escaping the world; it’s about finding coherence within it.
So that even when everything speeds up around you, you remain steady at your core.
December openings
So, if you feel called to try microdosing and connect with your inner rhythm, I have 3 open coaching spots this December.
Because let’s be honest — December tends to be the most intense month of the year.
Finding your center now can be the difference between ending the year burnt out or grounded, clear, and ready for what’s next.
If that resonates, reply “December” or click here and fill in the form.
